Hit the road out of Brisbane about 9 oclock and headed down the Hwy to Grafton.
Then on to the Armidale road. This road is a good run with some very nice twistie sections to get into. The narrow sections can be OK but you need to watch for oncoming traffic.
Then left onto the Waterfalls Hwy and a down to the coast. A good twistie run but a bit short and over and finished too quick.
Down the Hwy to Kempsey for the night..

Run the Hwy to the Oxley Hwy and right turn put me onto this famed run. The first section has some tight corners and then it opens up to some nice sweepers and the run to the climb up the range. This section is great but over all to soon as it is short and tight. Once over the range and out on the table land a easy and fast run to Walcha.
A left and onto Thunderbolts way. Its a fair run with a good mountain crossing and the run into Gloucester.
Bucketts way is a ride and thats about it some good views and a fast run.
Found my way onto Putty road and here the fun factor is high tight twists fast straights sweepers etc just about everything a biker loves and a good surface to boot

Bells line of road.. The sun was setting low as I headed onto this run a WOW that made it all the better. The road starts out slow with the town speed limit and the opens up as you meet the ridgeline with breath taking views and a top road and a top surface.. then Lithgow for the night..

Lithgow to Oberon excellent run and road even with the few tucks along the way. Good surface and nice twisties.
Oberon to Goulburn is a easy and fast run with the road turning good to bad many tines with the decent and climb in and out of the valley to rough to really enjoy. But a nice spot for a stop and a smoke.
On to Canberra and a Hwy run at best which gives time to look around and enjoy the veiws. Then onto Jindabyne which is a Hwy run with some sweepers..

The Alpine way WOW and WOW and Wow again..
Bike Heaven the best road I have ridden. 99% of corners have excellent vision and you can use all the road. 108km of bliss. Go and do it will be the best thing you could do on a bike. I rode this section early morning and had the road to myself but for 2 kangaroos and some horse shit left by the brumbies. WOW again.

Murray Hwy is OK but is a hwy and as such the corners are sweepers. But enjoyed it any way...
Total 572km That was the end of the good bike roads as I headed to see family in the bendigo area. Also covered some roads heading around the area but none I can brag about run up a lot of km around 1200km in fact. with one 800km day.

The road home..25-11-07

Run up the Hume Hwy to Albury and onto the Murray river road. Fast run with sweepers and a little tight stuff thrown in for fun. Walwa for lunch and back on the bike. A lonely run with no traffic and best no cops. 150km that past in no time and lead me to Tumut. These road are fun but not exciting. But sure bet the Hwy. Hit some wet weather along here but not to bad. Just stop for a smoke and let it pass. Gundagai for the night.

Gundagai to Goulburn. Up the Hwy to Goulburn and in need of a new chain. Found a bike shop and the helpful crew had it fitted and me back on the road in a little over an hour. Started to retrace my steps a bit up to Oberon and a round to Lithgow. When you do a road in reverse it is a new road and can stir the blood again. Then Bells line and putty.
Pulling over for the night and find that the rear tire has the steel showing. Have to get it replaced.

Big thanks to Singleton Motorcycles. Back on the road by nine. Lost first time on the trip I went looking for a new way and found my self (the long way) at Clarence Town for lunch and a top pie to boot. OK Now Bucketts way. Thunderbolts way. Walcha to Armidale to Grafton and up the Hwy to home..

All in all a most excellent trip. I met some people along the way out touring on bikes and so much more. It was more than a ride its an adventure. Cant wait for the next one. Bring it on.
